With the aim of strengthening bridges of communication and cooperation between Jordanians in America and their motherland, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz met with Jordanian Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar and a group of Jordanians living in the United States, on Friday January 11, 2018, in Washington.

The Prime Minister briefed the members of the Jordanian community on the results of the successful visit of the United States, which was represented by the World Bank's approval of a $ 1.2 billion loan to Jordan with very low interest to schedule a series of previous debts and provide a real opportunity for private and public investment in Jordan.

The Prime Minister stressed that this easy loan is the largest loan granted by the World Bank to Jordan.

Razzaz expressed thanks to the US government for the good reception, as this is his first visit to Washington since he was appointed head of the Jordanian government, stressing the depth of strategic relations and mutual respect between the two countries established by His Majesty the King over the years.

He praised the efforts of Ambassador Kawar and her role in enhancing relations and patronizing the interests of the two countries. "Our visit was very welcome. We visited the Treasury, the White House and the International Monetary Fund. We met with a number of investors. The message from all visits was that Jordan opens its doors to business and investment.

PM Razzaz pointed out that the development of the agreement with the European Union has been reached to improve the conditions of the rules of simplifying certificates of origin and enhancing the opportunities of Jordanian exports in an unprecedented manner, as well as an agreement with the United States that will improve the situation and create jobs and reflect upon the standard of living of Jordanians. "There is reason to be optimistic about the future, invest the existing opportunities and try to improve the situation," he said.

During the meeting, the Jordanian community discussed the social, cultural and commercial conditions of Jordanians residing in the United States. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to communicate Jordanians residing in the US with the embassy, as well as communication among residents to improve their situation and learn more about business and investments abroad.
