Oil prices spike in 2nd week of March
According to the data, the price of 95-octane gasoline soared from $606.3 per ton in the first week to $638.1 in the second week, an increase of 5.2 percent, while the price of 90-octane gasoline picked up 5.5 percent, rising from $588.4 to $620.7 per ton.
Diesel prices witnessed a slight drop, going down from $603.5 per ton to $600.3, while the prices of kerosene rose 0.2 percent, from $633.7 to $634.9 and the prices of liquefied gas stood at $512.5 per ton, it said.
In the second week of March, benchmark Brent crude prices spiked by 2.6 percent in the second week, climbing from $64.2 to $65.9 per barrel.
