Health Minister, Iraqi envoy discuss cooperation

جهينة نيوز - Minister of Health Ghazi Zaben and Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia Suhail discussed the deep historic relations between Jordan and Iraq especially in the health field.

During a meeting on Sunday, Zaben said Jordan has many success stories in the health care industry including those of the Food and Drug Administration, the Advanced Pharmaceutical Industries, the Joint Procurement Department, and the Medical Council.

He pointed out the major advances the Jordanian Pharmaceutical industry which exports to over 100 countries, underscoring the Kingdom's keenness to exchange its expertise with Iraq.

Suhail stressed the deep-rooted bilateral ties, noting that her country looks to enhance cooperation, especially in the health field.

The Health Ministry's Spokesperson, Hatem Azraei, said Jordanian and Iraqi technical teams have held meetings to discuss prospects of cooperation in the health field, noting that they are placing the final touches on an executive program and a memorandum of understanding that would be signed by the two countries' health ministers.
