The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation has joined the United Nation's initiative "UN75", launched by UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, at the beginning of this year as a global conversation to mark the organization's 75th anniversary.

During a UN broadcast on Monday, Minister of Planning Wissam Rabadi underlined the important UN role in bridging gaps, erasing differences, trying to achieve justice, security and stability for all peoples, and extending a helping hand to all.

Commenting on the priorities of the coming years, Rabadi stressed the importance of international cooperation to ensure justice and social protection for all, so that the next generation can enjoy an adequate standard of living with a decent life.

A statement by the ministry also indicated that the minister underscored that education is essential to keep pace with technological and scientific development. "It is also important that all children, elderly and ill people must enjoy healthcare, adequate water and clean energy," the minister added, urging the international community to contribute, without discrimination, in supporting countries to alleviate poverty and unemployment, especially among the youth.

The UN75 initiative includes a survey for people everywhere to share their thoughts around current and emerging global trends, and to have a conversation with as many people as possible to spark ideas for building the future we want, particularly youth.
