Ukraine envoy stresses deep ties with Jordan

Ukrainian ambassador Sergei Pasco said his country maintains deep and distinguished ties with Jordan.

He told a press conference that the volume of Jordanian exports to Ukraine edged up by 44 percent last year, while the volume of bilateral trade was over $172 million.

Pasco said that there are currently 2,500 Jordanian students in Ukraine, and that the number increases every year, adding that 538 students had obtained visas last year.

The envoy also spoke about the events related to the Crimea crisis in 2014, noting that Ukraine is a peaceful and democratic country, and stressed the importance of respecting international law.
